About The Maldives Guide
The Maldives Guide exists to answer real questions about the Maldives with verifiable facts rather than marketing copy. The Republic of Maldives is one of the most-searched destinations on earth, yet much of what is published about it is promotional, vague or out of date. Our approach is different: each article targets one clear question, sticks to well-established facts, links to primary sources such as Maldives Immigration, the Maldives Meteorological Service and the national tourism office, and avoids invented statistics, prices and endorsements entirely.
The site covers six areas: the islands and atolls themselves, marine life and the natural environment, Maldivian culture and history, practical travel planning, activities and experiences, and food and everyday practicalities. Where rules can change — visas, customs regulations, transport schedules — we say so and point to official sources rather than pretending permanence.
The Maldives Guide is an independent reference site publishing factual, plain-English articles about the Republic of Maldives — its islands and atolls, marine life, history, culture, food and practical travel knowledge.
Content is written as timeless reference material. Rules, prices and schedules change: always confirm current official guidance before travelling.
